Look no further for the best gardening gifts for mom. Whether she has a prize-winning veggie garden or is a window box devotee, the thoughtful gift ideas below are sure to spark major plant mom joy. After all, what could be a more fitting gift for the person who’s been cultivating your growth since day one?

To help us narrow down our recommendations, we talked to a few food industry folks with serious green thumbs for their go-to gardening tools. From palm-perfect pruners to modernist flower pots, these are the items at the top of their list. Read on—and don’t forget to call your mother.

  • Garden Glory Watering Can

Your mom has a watering can…but is it chic, Scandinavian, and shaped like a giant diamond solitaire? This one from Garden Glory is a real gem: it’s made with lightweight, extra-durable plastic and also doubles as home decor. So whether Mom’s watering the indoor plant babies, the parsley in the window sill, or the marigolds on the porch, this long-spout watering can will help her get the job done. It holds a gallon of water and comes in colors like gray, eucalyptus, and Sahara tan.

    Hori Hori Garden Tool

Looking for a unique gift that any gardener would love to keep in their garden kit? “We use this Japanese gardening knife extensively on the farm, which is on historic Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo land, especially for transplanting seedlings into the ground,” explains Leslie Wiser, farmer-owner of Radical Family Farms. “The blade is long enough to create a deep hole, and its width is the ideal size for the seedling, so we can be more efficient than if we used our hands. The serrated edge is also perfect for weeding.”

  • Blundstone Boots

According to chef turned backyard farmer Natasha Li Pickowicz, these durable, classic Chelsea boots work just as well in the kitchen as they do in the garden. “They’re already perfectly worn in, and unlike clogs they keep my ankles dry and safe from the clouds of mosquitoes that haunt my garden underbrush,” she says.

    Ars Pruners

These heavy-duty pruning shears are chef and cookbook author Abra Berens’ top pick for a Mother’s Day garden gift: “I keep them right next to my door so I can easily snip herbs, zucchini, and even small branches for tablescaping. This pair is a little pricier, but that buys lightness, functionality, and durability. They feel good in your hand, just like a great chef’s knife.”

  • Light + Ladder Vayu Planter

There’s no better home for Mom’s herb garden (or houseplants) than a Vayu plant pot, which has a dimensional surface that nods to brutalist architecture. It’s an expression of the focus, concentration, and tranquility that designer Farrah Sit feels when gardening. “I was taking care of a small veggie farm on my roof at a particular time in my life when I was trying to figure things out, and gardening gave me such a sense of peace. I wanted to bring that feeling to the planter design.” The planter comes with a drainage tray and is available in colors like Snowy Porcelain, Coal Black, and Matte Terra Cotta.

    Chicken Wire Cloche

“These thoughtfully designed cloches protect my precious strawberries and cauliflower from hungry wild bunnies without compromising the aesthetic of my garden,” explains Ghia CEO Melanie Masarin. “I wanted to find something that protected without hiding so I can still have the pleasure of watching things grow over time. I’m happy to report my strawberries are coming up right now.”

  • Kinfield Bug Spray

It’s tough keeping the bugs off your plants and outdoor garden (we recommend Bonide BT spray for that), but it’s equally hard keeping the bugs off of YOU—especially when you want a solution without harsh chemicals. The good news: This natural bug spray actually works. It’s DEET-free and features Indonesian citronella, vanillin, and cloves, which means it smells amazing too.

    Gardener’s Tool Belt

The best gardening gifts for Mom are the ones that make her feel like a badass. For LuckyRice founder Danielle Chang, this adjustable tool belt does just that. “It’s made for carrying shears and seeds, but I also put in my phone, keys, and sunblock,” she says. “There’s a water bottle holder too! I’ll sport it while hiking because I love picking up leaves and flowers along the way and the pockets hold them without any crushing.” It can handle everything in Mom’s garden tool set.

    $30 at Gardener’s Supply Company

  • Supergoop Sunscreen

Speaking of sunblock, Pickowicz loves Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen, a cult favorite for a reason. Made with an invisible oil-free formula, it blends into skin better than other sunscreens and lends a lightweight, velvety finish. Plus, it’s packed with antioxidants. Is it a bit expensive? Yes. Would it make a good gift for any mom who spends a lot of time in the sun? Absolutely. Chuck it in a tote bag with some cute gardening gloves and some seeds and you’ve got a DIY gift set.

    True Love Seeds

“This seed company understands the deep connection between restoring Indigenous traditions, reactivating heritage breeds, and creating a network of seed-saving growers,” says Urban Growers Collective cofounder Erika Allen. “We’re working with 15 different seeds from them, but I’m most excited about Potawatomi Pole Lima Bean, which comes from a member of the Potawatomi Nation, and Besobella, an Ethiopian basil.” Pair these with some plant markers for the perfect gift for Mom.

    $4 at True Love Seeds

  • Vegetable Brush

If your mom loves to cook with the produce from her vegetable garden, then her tasks don’t stop after the harvest. This high-quality vegetable brush is made with durable beechwood and has two sides—one with soft bristles for gently buffing delicate produce like tomatoes and one with stiff bristles for cleaning sturdier veggies.

  3. In order for the design to be well fixed, you will need a hair dryer, which processes the surface of the candle.

Greeting card.

An educator can help children in creating this postcard. He cuts out the petals on separate sheets of paper and writes the qualities of mothers on them. An example, attractive, beautiful, olfactory, beautiful, etc.

  • So, for such a postcard, the middle of the flower is drawn on a piece of paper. But the stem should already be cut out of colored paper.
  • Now all the kids have to do is pick up the petals and glue them to the flower.

Crafts for March 8 to kindergarten

To create a spectacular craft for mom with your own hands, you can turn any detail that is at hand into an original and beautiful souvenir or postcard.

Card with chamomile for March 8

You can make a charming card with daisies for March 8. We make the base of the card – we fold the pink sheet of cardboard in half. Glue a green circle to the front of the card. To make daisy petals, we need thin strips of paper, which we twist with a stick or pencil.

Roll up the strips

Glue the rolled strips onto the green circle. Decorate the center of the circle with a twisted curl of yellow paper. We got the first chamomile – the upper part of the future figure eight.

Chamomile

We frame the contour of the lower part of the figure eight with green leaves. Glue a small chamomile on each of the leaves. We make small daisies in the same way as large ones, only we fold the paper strips in half. We complement the craft with yellow flowers. Postcard for March 8 – ready!

We glue the parts of the craft

We connect the first 3 parts together.

Connecting the first 3 parts

Glue three cores in one direction and 3 in the other over the blue flower. They should be glued together and with a blue flower.

We glue three cores

We insert part No. 4 into the hole of the flower and glue the cores in the same way on both sides. We do the same with detail No. 5. We place the flower in the center of the postcard.

Postcard with a paper tulip

You can make a very beautiful postcard with a three-dimensional tulip from colored paper. Cut out a circle from yellow paper.

Cut out the circle

Fold the green paper in half and draw a half leaf on the fold. When cutting, we get an even leaf with a center on the fold. For a postcard, we need two leaves.

Cut out two leaves

Fold a sheet of red cardboard in half – this is the basis of the postcard. Cut out tulips from pink paper.

Card base, yellow circle, leaves and pink tulips

Fold the yellow circle along the edges. We glue pink paper blanks together, forming a voluminous tulip flower.

Glue the tulip flower

1. Print out mason jars by hand – I made these last year with my students. They need a bit of preparation beforehand, but they are light and mom loves them! Just spray paint on the masonry jars at home. Use craft paint to paint the students’ hands and gently press them against the jar to create the stems. Then let them choose the paint color they like best and use your fingerprints to create the colors. I apply a clear coat of spray to seal it all in. You can put real flowers or tissue paper flowers in them!

4. Mother’s Day necklaces – my teammate makes them every year with her students. They’re heavy on the teacher, but they’re a great option for giving mom jewelry she could actually wear! You can ask students to choose a design they like on scrapbook paper, or personalize them with their own photos, like “Little House of Four” here.

5. Girl and Glue Gun Heart Keychains – Use Sculpi to create heart shaped keychains or necklaces!

6. Saddle up Second Grade Mother’s Day Notebooks – What mom, grandma or aunt doesn’t love notebooks? This free printout is easy and inexpensive to turn into colorful Mother’s Day notebooks.

7. Fireflies in a jar. Postcard from Crafty Morning. Moms love everything about fingerprints. Just looking at this postcard makes me happy! Cards, paint and some ribbon are all you need.

8. Pint-Sized Treasure Cupcake Liners – Make adorable poppies using simple, inexpensive materials: cupcake liners, paper straws, and buttons!

9. Fingerprint pots. Aside from planting material, all you need for this idea is acrylic craft paint, terracotta pots, and a felt-tip pen. Have your students dip their finger in paint and they’ll teach them how to make shapes for butterflies, caterpillars, ants, ladybugs, and even friendly spiders! When the paint is dry, add the details with a felt tip pen. And if your seeds don’t germinate in time, just add a paper cutout glued to a craft stick!

10. Big book and mini books for Mother’s Day from Kindergarten Smarts. I love ideas that get students to write. These books are amazing and will be treasured forever! Children’s writing and drawing is the best!

Kindergarten Ready Gift Sets for Moms and Kids!

Soon our family will begin big changes in life… the youngest is going to kindergarten! Historically, in our family, this age is really difficult in terms of separation. Our eldest of the preschool children experienced such difficulties that we decided to study at home in kindergarten. It worked surprisingly well at the time, but we also had two toddlers at home and they got along well. When the time came for Son No. 2 to go to kindergarten, he had already been going to preschool institutions for a year, but kindergarten, and indeed the first grade, were very difficult for him. He is the most introverted son, and looking back, school was really good for him, although there were days when he didn’t want to go at all. Now that our last son is old enough to go to kindergarten, I’m worried about how it will be. We have just moved to another city and they will all go to a new school, but fortunately it is the same school. I expect the first few weeks of school to be tough for everyone, but especially tough for this little guy… and his mommy. He participated in the Parents Day Out program two days a week which he enjoyed but happily graduated from (see picture below!), but in reality kindergarten would be SO different!

I was trying to think of different ways to get him excited about kindergarten, and I had the great idea to make him a Get Ready for Kindergarten gift set that would make him feel special and excited about things that are his own. (Don’t hand me anything!) Then I thought how great it would be to give kindergarten mom (or dad) a gift set to encourage them on this new journey!

Move your mouse over the image above to shop back to school at Walmart! Walmart Online Grocery made it easy to buy and add different items to my online shopping cart for these gift bags. Did you know that you can add non-food items to your Walmart Online grocery order? I thoughtfully chose things that both mothers and children will like! (Using Walmart Online Grocery also makes it easy to hide things you’re not ready for your kids to see!)

I was able to drive up, check in using the Walmart Grocery app, and have my groceries delivered to my car in just minutes!

Get ready for kindergarten! Gift Wrap for Mom

For the gift wrap for Mom, I chose a few items that would be appreciated and wrapped them in a cute wire basket. I chose the following items:

  • Whether mom is happy or sad on her first day of school, Kleenex makes the best everyday wipes for reliable durability and maximum softness (among national brands.)
  • Clorox® Disinfectant Wipes — I decided to include these because a mom can choose to clean up easily and quickly after the kids go to school, or donate them to her child’s class! I know teachers always appreciate Clorox extra wipes as they kill 99. 9% of germs on hard, non-porous surfaces when used as directed.
  • Paper Mate® InkJoy Gel Pens — I like these pens because they dry quickly so they don’t smear the page. They also don’t require lids because they are mouse click pens! YES! Mom can use them for letters, journaling, calendar appointments, shopping lists, or drawing! They are just fun to use!
  • BAND-AID® SKIN-FLEX™ Bandages – Great for kids and adults, active bandages last up to 24 hours, withstand handwashing, and are resistant to damage and abrasion. (Use product as directed.) Use them for baby bites or any injury mom might get while doing these DIY projects!
  • New notebook or diary — for all mom’s lists and thoughts! I know it’s typical to think that a mom will have all that “free time” when her little ones go to school, but that’s far from the truth! So much to do, so little time!
  • Flowers — after all, everything becomes better with a fresh bouquet of flowers!
  • A heartfelt note telling mom that you are ready to help her if she needs you and you would love to get together for coffee!

Get ready for a gift box for kindergarten kids!

  • Elmer’s® Liquid School Adhesive, 4 oz. – This adhesive is ideal for arts and crafts at home or school. (It’s also great for making slime if mom wants to try this before school starts! 🙂
  • Elmer’s® Purple Disappearing Glue Sticks, 21 oz, 12 pcs. and the students are happy! The glue in Elmer’s Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks is washable, non-toxic, and acid-free. The glue turns purple on first application and then dries clear!
  • Paper Mate® Clear Point Mechanical Pencil Starter Set — These pencils are not usually on kindergarten listings, but they are just fun to write with and encourage kids to start writing. Includes mechanical pencil, refills for caps , eraser sticks, large swiveling eraser.
  • Kindergarten Workbooks – More suited to enjoy learning and practicing the skills taught in kindergarten, these workbooks can be a great bridge and help kids start thinking about letters and numbers if they already have. did not, or constantly fine-tune your skills and abilities!
  • Kindergarten, I’m coming! Kindergarten book or other books inspire children and help them imagine and understand what kind of kindergarten can really be!
  • Lunch boxes – new cups, bento boxes or plastic utensils make kindergarten more attractive.

Gift for mom on mother’s day: how to make original gifts in kindergarten and school with your own hands

The most important person in our life is our mother, mother, mother. YOU can tell your mom how much you love her every day, but there is also an official mother’s day. This is an occasion to gather the whole family at a large table and once again thank mothers and grandmothers for their love and care. If you want to express your love not only with words, then you can make a gift with your own hands for Mother’s Day.

If the budget does not allow you to give your mother an expensive gift or buy flowers, then you can make a beautiful and useful gift from materials for creativity. Each person has their own taste, but you know your mother or grandmother well enough to understand what kind of gift she would like.

What gift should I give my mother on Mother’s Day?

Before you start creating a surprise for your mother, consider your options. Knowing the taste and preferences of the mother, you can decide on the subject of manufacture. In any case, whatever you do for mom, this gift will remain the best and most beautiful for her. She will definitely keep such a craft, and remember this day with warmth.

Choose the kind of crafts for mom that you can handle. It can be paper work that is created with glue. If you take fabric for work, then the ability to sew will come in handy. Small children can make crafts from plasticine.

If you have beads or beads in stock, then jewelry would be a great gift option for mom. It can be beads or a necklace, as well as earrings and bracelets. If you have the patience for a set of jewelry, then do not forget to take care of the packaging. It can be made so original that you don’t want to open the gift.

Do not forget about simple and banal postcards, because they serve to write the warmest words for your loved one.

If mom has a lot of her jewelry, then you can make a beautiful stand for jewelry. Its manufacture does not take much time, and does not require a lot of materials.

A jewelry stand made from a wooden photo frame will look original. It needs to be painted in your mother’s favorite color, and a braid attached.

Many women like to decorate their home with different decorative elements. Therefore, such a gift as a cactus made of pebbles in a pot will be pleasant for them.

To make such a gift for mom on mother’s day, you will need a beautiful flower pot, stones of different sizes and shapes, green paint, white corrector, sand.

Paint each pebble green, and then draw needles on the dried stones with a white corrector. Plant the pebbles in a pot, covered with sand.

How to make a gift for mother on mother’s day

Beautiful handmade fabric flowers will be a chic and durable gift for mother on mother’s day. Such flowers can be the same, or you can make them from different fabrics and assemble them into a beautiful bouquet. The design options for fabric tulips can also be different.

Materials:
  • Flower cloth
  • Leaf green cloth
  • Filling
  • Wire

First you need to make a pattern by printing it out from a computer. Transfer all the details to the fabric and make as many copies as you want to make flowers.

The fabric for the tulip bud must be folded in half and cut out. We sweep this detail. The same process is necessary for the leaves and stem of the future tulip. Don’t forget to leave a hole to turn the pieces inside out. We sew all the details manually or on a typewriter.

Fill them with cotton wool or synthetic winterizer. Attach the buds to the wire that will act as the stem. To hide the wire, there is one more detail that we have already sewn and turned inside out earlier. All the details need to be fastened together with a hidden seam. Also attach a leaf to each flower, and soon your bouquet will be ready.

Do-it-yourself paper gift for mom

You can also make a corrugated paper bouquet for mom. It looks no worse than a fabric bouquet. But from paper, the option is suitable for those who do not know how to sew at all. A variety of colored paper allows you to create incredible bouquets from different flowers.

Gorgeous peonies

The season of these flowers starts in May and lasts almost all summer. But Mother’s Day is no longer held on summer days. Therefore, it will not be possible to give mother live peonies. To your rescue, stock up on colored corrugated paper.

Materials:
  • Credided paper: pink, white, green, green
  • Scissors
  • Wire
  • Green Tape-Lent

9000

Cut pink paper into squares in two sizes. There must be a total of 25 pieces.

Shape these squares into petals with scissors

Make 10 narrow strips and 10 wide strips from green paper. Let’s give them the shape of leaves, stretching a little.

A piece of wire must be wrapped with tape.

To make a peony bud, you need to carry out the following processes: lay out the small petals in a circle, fixing with a ribbon, then attach the large petals.

It remains to attach the leaves to the stems. Several of these peonies will make a chic bouquet.

Rose with candy

For lovers of sweets, you can hide sweets in an original gift. For Mother’s Day, this would be the perfect surprise. It doesn’t take long to make a bouquet. If you carefully then pull out the candy, then such a bouquet can stand for a long time and delight your mother with a memory.

Materials:
  • Corrugated paper
  • Candies
  • Foil
  • Wire
  • Green tape
  • Scissors

Cut paper into strips 6 cm wide. We cut each strip every 10 cm. In order to make petal blanks, round off two corners.

Wrap the round candy in foil and attach it to a wooden skewer, which will act as a stalk.

Next, wrap the core with prepared pieces of paper. Each of them should envelop a ball of foil.

Attach each petal with a thread.

Attach the next petal in the same way, only opposite the previous one.

Also stretch out three more strips for the petals and attach them to the bud.

The edges of the petals can be slightly stretched to make them wavy. So the flower will appear more magnificent.

This is how the finished bud will look like from the side

To decorate the bud, cut off a piece of green paper and cut it out with cloves. Glue it to the base of the bud, hiding the winding with a thread. Cut out a long strip of green paper to wind the wire for the stalk.

We begin to wrap the green strip around the bottom of the bud, continuing along the wire previously attached to the bottom of the bud. Cut out leaves from green paper and attach them to the stem

Bouquet of poppies with sweets

This bouquet looks more original than the usual bouquet of roses due to its design. Delicious sweets will also be hidden in poppies, a joy for the sweet tooth.

Materials:

  • Hofromaga
  • Lent
  • Wire
  • TAP-Lent
  • Scissors
  • Nittails
  • Wooden Swaps
  • CURCH
  • 9000 9000 9000 9000 9000 9000 9000 cut a thin ribbon of 25 cm each piece.

From corrugated paper we make pieces 18*12 cm. We need them to wrap sweets.

Tie the blanks with a ribbon and attach to the wire with a teip tape.

We make 7 poppies, spreading the edges on the flowers for splendor.

Attach the flowers to the wire with tape. You can also add greens for decoration. Wrap the flowers in wrapping paper and decorate with a bow.

    DIY gift for Mother’s Day

On the eve of such a wonderful holiday as Mother’s Day, you need to take care of a gift. It is not difficult to make a gift for Mother’s Day with your own hands. You don’t have to have a big budget to make a worthwhile gift. Mothers value the attention and love of children most of all. And it’s not at all difficult to show this, it’s enough to spend a few evenings in creativity.

    Materials:
    • Bank of any form
    • Flowers from fabric
    • Figures made of plastic
    • adhesive pistol
    • Green thread
    • BOTTER
    • 9006, Green Paper
    • side cover flowers and figurines with glue.

You can attach the figurine to the string and attach the string to the lid. When the lid is turned over, the figurine will be in flight in the bottle. This will give originality to such a craft.

Fill the jar with water, about 2 cm short of the rim. Can be topped with glitter and confetti.

Screw on the cap making sure it is well fixed. Decorate the lid with green paper.

Mother’s Day Playdough Gifts for Kindergarten

Children love to play with playdough, so it’s good to turn that passion into making a beautiful gift for mom.

Such a plasticine cake can be made in an hour. But he looks bright and cute. Any mother will like that the child took care of her and decided to feed her with a delicious dessert, albeit not a real one.

It would be quite symbolic to make such crafts from plasticine. A nest with chicks symbolizes mother’s care for children.

The nest is made of brown plasticine. One part in the form of a circle is flat and two parts need to be made in the form of tubes. Twist between each other, imitating weaving. Attach the pigtail to the bottom of the nest. Chicks are made from ovals rolled from yellow plasticine.

      Mother’s Day gift: middle group

Children in the middle and senior kindergarten groups can already handle scissors, so it is quite possible for them to make a beautiful bouquet of colored paper for their mother’s share.

We make an accordion from a green sheet of paper.

We measure the middle and glue together. We’ll get a fan.

Draw flowers on white paper and cut them out.

You can draw beautiful tulips on red paper

Glue flowers on the green fan

      Original gifts to mom

Of course, the main goal of this holiday is to remind mothers about their motherhood happiness, allow children once again show your feelings. And how nice it will be if they are backed up with a beautiful and original gift for mom on Mother’s Day.

For a beautiful woman, jewelry will never be superfluous. Therefore, you can make a simple, but such a stylish necklace or bracelet.

This version of the necklace will suit extravagant women.

To make it you will need:

tape, chain, carabiner, rings, pliers, glue.

Glue the edge of the tape to the first ring of the chain and wrap it around. We will carry out the same procedure on the other side of the chain.

You can connect the parts of the jewelry with the help of rings, and don’t forget about the clasp in the form of a carabiner.

From such a gift, mother will not only be happy, but you will see joy in her eyes and tears of happiness. Reading every note, mom will think and remember that she gave birth to the best son or daughter who is not stingy with words in her direction.

You can make such a jar in any form, as well as the words inside. Decorate it with colored decor elements, beads, sparkles, ribbons.

If your mother doesn’t eat sweets, but what’s a holiday without a cake, then you can make a cake out of colored cardboard. Each piece can carry a pleasant surprise.

You can make a lamp with your own hands. To do this, you will need a little skill and a few light bulbs. We do not recommend doing this on your own, because you can use your dad or grandfather for this work.

Acrylic paints can be used to decorate a simple transparent vase or decanter

A simple watch can be turned into the most original accessory with a simple handkerchief.

To give your mother not just a gift for Mother’s Day, but also a lot of positive impressions and joy, you just need to make an original gift for your mother with your own hands.

DIY gifts for mom on March 8 in kindergarten – interesting craft ideas and step-by-step master classes

On March 8, it is customary to give gifts and flowers to all girls, women and girls. This is a magical spring festival. Moms will be especially pleased to receive a small gift from their children. They usually carefully store all children’s crafts and homemade cards.

Art stores sell a wide variety of materials and blanks with which you can create paintings, cutouts, three-dimensional figures or photo frames by children’s hands.

Kindergarten teachers teach children to show their creativity from an early age and help to make crafts for the holidays. I want to offer gift options for mothers that children of different ages can make.

Gifts for mom on March 8 in the younger group of kindergarten

It will be difficult for young children from 2 years old to create an intricate appliqué or DIY craft. Toddlers still have poor paper cutting skills. Therefore, you can prepare blanks in advance, which will need to be pasted on paper under the guidance of adults.

This is an excellent educational game, by the way, the child gets acquainted with the color of objects and their shape and tries to arrange the workpiece as intended in the task. Do not interfere in the awkward movements of the fingers, guide and advise, but do not do anything for the child. He must do everything himself and experience the joy of the fact that he succeeded. And do not forget to praise, be sure to praise!

      Applications

      Eights with flowers

The symbolic figure eight decorated with flowers will be both a postcard and a gift picture.

Cut out figures of eight in advance. Also cut out flowers and butterflies of different sizes and colors from colored paper.

      Felt crafts

      Felt flower baskets

Felt is a soft synthetic material that can be used for appliqués. As decorations, flowers are suitable, from the felt itself or colored paper. Rhinestones made of colored plastic can now be found on sale, they already come with an adhesive base, so attaching them to the center of the flowers and to the basket itself will not be difficult.

      Working with finger paints

Finger paints are non-toxic and absolutely safe for children. Even if the baby decides to taste and lick his finger, there will be no harm to health.
      Finger-painted postcard
Children love to draw simply with their own hands without the use of brushes. This develops their tactile sensations and skills.

Gifts for mothers in the kindergarten preparatory group

Children in the preparatory group are 6 to 7 years old. Their hands are already quite skillful and they can make complex and beautiful crafts. This is a fun activity if you let them bring their own creative ideas to life, even if they are slightly different from what was intended or given. Pride in what the child has done himself, praise from adults – this inspires and encourages creativity, which is a pleasure. And this is the goal – to teach how to do something beautiful with your own hands, come up with something of your own and bring joy to your mother.

Children in this age group should be able to work with scissors, glue and colored paper. Therefore, beautiful crafts for a gift to mom will be on their shoulders. In addition, there are many ideas from natural materials: cones, twigs and other things that can be taken as the basis of New Year’s crafts. Of course, they need to be thematically beaten, add a touch of spring, include flowers in the composition.

      Three-dimensional corrugated paper flowers

Corrugated paper tulips and disposable spoons
You can make a whole bouquet of such tulips and strengthen them together with leaves in a small flower pot. And you can make one tulip in a pot for each mom.

For this craft we will need:

      • Plastic spoons – at the rate of 4 spoons per flower.
      • Red and green crepe paper – 0.5-1 meter for each flower, 1 meter for green paper is enough.
      • Clear tape.

Wrap each spoon in red paper.

Wrap the stem of the spoon with green paper and secure with tape.

      Gifts from ordinary table napkins

In addition to the main purpose, paper napkins are an excellent material for creativity. Soft and flexible, they crumple well. A variety of flowers allows you to make bouquets of roses, mimosas, daisies.
Bouquet of mimosa from table napkins

Ordinary table napkins are very plastic, you can make voluminous small flowers or small lumps from them.

      Take yellow and green napkins.

Flower arrangements made of double-sided colored paper and other materials

Magical two-layer flowers colored paper flowers

These seemingly intricate flowers are very easy to make. Moreover, in the manufacture of crafts, you do not have to glue a lot. It is enough to fasten the necessary parts with a piece of adhesive tape.

      For work we need:

      • Colored double-sided paper, for example, white and purple – 2 leaves per flower.
      • Green colored double-sided paper – 1 sheet will make three stems.
      • Scotch.

      Fold the sheet in half.

Set aside 2 cm from the free edge and draw a light line.

From the fold side, cut a sheet of colored paper into strips up to a drawn line no more than 2 mm wide.

Make this first with purple paper, then with white paper.

Move the edges of the workpiece to the right by 3 cm and secure the left edge with adhesive tape.

Prepare the stem. To do this, divide the paper horizontally into three equal parts. You need to start twisting the stem from the diagonal.

Now let’s start twisting the flower.

The lighter part should remain at the top of the flower. Darker part below.

Tape the white and purple paper to the stem. Spread the petals.

      Cotton bud flowers
Cotton buds are perfect for our children’s creativity. The more you show your imagination and involve the kids in making gifts for mothers and grandmothers, the more interesting it will be for them.

Such a beautiful and unusual flower should turn out in the end.

      For work we need:

      • Cotton buds with plastic legs — 2-3 large packs.
      • Foam base balls – 1 ball per flower.
      • A container in which to dilute paints.
      • Paints – you can take the usual gouache of different combined colors. For example, pink and light blue. Or yellow and orange.
      • Canape wooden skewers is the stem.

Each stick must be cut diagonally to create a sharp edge.

Insert each half of the Q-tip into the Styrofoam ball.

You should get such a hedgehog from cotton swabs.

In a plate or other container dilute a small amount of paint with water. The solution should be bright but not thick.

Dip our hedgehog in the paint and leave the cotton end in the paint for a second.

Paint the wooden stem green with gouache.

Original gifts for mothers on March 8 in kindergarten (middle group)

Children who are 4-5 years old attend the middle group of kindergarten. They already know a lot. Work with plasticine, colored paper and other materials. The teacher should tell the children what kind of holiday March 8 is and how it is celebrated. Moms are always very happy with cute gifts from their beloved children. And if this is a useful gift, the pleasure from it will be many times greater.

So, you can come up with a stand for pencils and pens from a cardboard ring from toilet paper or paper towels and plasticine, which, when solidified, will turn it almost into ceramic. This material can be given a different shape – leaves, petals and buds, for example. Frozen, they will easily stick to the cardboard base and will stick to it well. Here is a useful thing for mom on March 8th.

      Plasticine products

Plasticine is now available in different qualities and colors. I really like plasticine, which dries in the air. It does not stick to hands and clothes, and the finished product will become very dense over time. Another advantage of this plasticine is a wide variety of colors and shades.
A bouquet of plasticine on paper
On a piece of paper we make a bouquet of thin tubes. Divide plasticine into equal pieces, roll into small flagella. We fold these flagella in the form of a spiral – these will be our flowers. In the center we put a ball of green plasticine.

Alternatively, you can make a pretty mimosa out of plasticine balls.

      Do-it-yourself colored paper ribbon flowers

These ribbons are sold as a set. But it is not difficult to make blanks on your own. You can instruct parents at home to cut double-sided colored paper into ribbons 1 cm thick. Children lay out flowers twisted into spirals on paper. Ribbons are attached to paper with ordinary glue.
      Rolled Paper Applications

      Baskets with flowers

      Paper baskets with flowers
As baskets, you can use both colored paper itself and ready-made small flower pots for seedlings.
