We love decorating our homes for Christmas, how about you?

Some of our favorite decorations are the ones we’ve made ourselves.

Christmas is a great time to get crafty, isn’t it?

Simple Christmas crafts make decorating a little more sentimental.

Not to mention, a handmade Christmas gift is so meaningful!

We’re sharing some of the favorite holiday crafts we’ve made with you today.

Neither of us is super crafty, so these Christmas projects and ideas are all very easy to make.

Welcome to the 2022 Christmas in July Blog Hop!

Did you know that Christmas in July began at a summer camp for girls in Brevard, NC back in 1933?

The camp went all out with their decorating and festivities.

While we might not be pulling out our Christmas decorations this July, we are getting super festive with our friends.

We’re so excited to be joining 23 talented bloggers to share some fun Christmas ideas and inspiration with you again this year!

Thank you so much to our dear friend Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse for organizing this fun Christmas in July blog hop.

Doesn’t Stacy have fantastic ideas for Christmas decorating? She always has amazing ways to add natural touches to your home throughout the year, but especially during the holidays.

If you’re new around here, we’re Anne and AnnMarie, two moms who are lucky enough to be besties and neighbors.

We work together to share simple and budget-friendly ideas for decorating, recipes, DIY projects, and tips for life with older teens (and beyond!).

You can read more about us and our families over here.

And we always love hearing from you! Be sure to say “hi” in the comments below and tell us your favorite Christmas idea.

Now, let’s take a look at our favorite easy holiday craft projects.

Our Favorite DIY Christmas Craft Ideas

We’ve both admired large simple wood ornaments while shopping.

But the price tag?

Not so much.

These easy wood Christmas ornaments are easy to customize with different colors of stain and paint to coordinate with any color scheme you want.

We made an easy advent calendar using small pouches, tags, and stickers!

You can fill the pouches with anything you want from candy to gift cards to tiny toys.

Display the bags in a large basket or dough bowl.

Or…

Hang them wherever you’d like using clothes pins!

Whether you mix up the numbers or hang them in order, this easy Christmas project will be a family favorite.

Do you love the way large fluffy bows look during the holidays but struggle to make them on your own?

AnnMarie has the easiest way to make these bows!

Everyone will want your secret when they see them.

We love the look of these custom stockings from South House Designs!

But these pretty stockings don’t have names on them, so Anne made simple stocking tags using wood ornaments.

Wait until you see how fast they are to make!

Christmas trees have got to be one of our favorite ways to decorate for the holidays!

These super easy trees are covered with loops of chenille yarn.

Choose any color you want to get the look perfect for your home.

Sometimes a more simple bow looks better when you decorate your home or wrap a package.

Or maybe you want to save some money and use less ribbon?

AnnMarie’s hack for making the perfect bow is great at Christmas or any time you want a simple bow!

Burlap is a great way to add great texture to your decorating.

Anne used strips of burlap on a tree form to make this cute tree.

Wait until you see how she attached it!

Give your Christmas display more visual interest by combining a variety of trees.

Pick a unifying color or color scheme for a cohesive look

Anne used the same kind of burlap for this DIY Christmas tree project but made it into fringe for a new look.

Did you know that you can twist paper and get a really unique fabric-like look?

We used patterned scrapbooking paper and colored cardstock to create twisted paper ornaments!

Did you see the secret to getting that fabric look?

Want the look of a collar for the base of your Christmas tree, but don’t want the look of galvanized steel?

Anne shares the easiest way to customize a tree collar to match your home’s decorating style!

We love sending and receiving Christmas cards!

But at the end of the holidays, we don’t want to throw away those cards with photos of our friends and family.

This easy Christmas card book gives you a way to save them and display them for years to come.

This easy chunky yarn Christmas tree project might be our favorite way to make trees to decorate for the holidays!

We both used three coordinating fibers to make them and absolutely love how they turned out.

These easy stamped wood ornaments are such an inexpensive way to decorate a “themed” Christmas tree!

Or mix them in with other ornaments.

Choose words that are meaningful for your family for a custom touch.

Want an easy wreath that makes a statement?

Give this easy hoop wreath project a try!

Choose the best color of yarn to make it pop on your front door.

You won’t believe what Anne used as the base for this pretty Christmas wreath!

The traditional Copenhagen Christmas Market takes place in Tivoli Park, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. Here everything is decorated with Christmas trees, thousands of lights flicker, and the air is saturated with the aroma of roasted almonds. And here you can go to the skating rink on the frozen lake. Amazing experience, real New Year’s magic!

Madrid’s main Christmas market takes place in the city’s main square, Plaza Mayor. This old fair pleases both Madrid residents and all its guests. There are 104 tents with figures from Christmas cribs, souvenirs, various funny crafts, and, of course, the famous Spanish sweets, such as turrons, marzipans, and pastries.

What makes a social media campaign successful?

For a Christmas-themed social media campaign to be successful, the team needs to understand exactly what they want before launch:0010

  • increase engagement
  • raise sales.
  • There are so many goals that it is very difficult to follow them all at the same time and maintain ease of delivery. But VistaCreate will help. All you need is a couple of really strong ideas. To find them, you need to arrange a brainstorm with your colleagues – and discuss what can really be done with the budget and deadlines available to you. Take inspiration from some of the best social media campaigns this holiday season, and we’ve already picked out ten of the coolest (and easiest) Christmas social media campaign ideas for you! Whatever you do, the main rule is to set clear goals . Tangible success can only be achieved if there is a clear plan and expectations. Your main goal for the holidays: to make your audience feel comfortable, like in a warm, family circle.

For a campaign to be successful, it must promote your business – make sure that as many people as possible know about your brand and make them feel like part of a friendly group. At the same time, it is important that the campaign is primarily about the holiday, and does not become another “just an advertising” promotion.

Successful campaigns bring together people with common interests and create an atmosphere in which you want to share something good with colleagues, friends and family. In a sense, such campaigns even set the trend and serve as an example to others. To do so is a great art. Let’s break it down:

    Christmas Video Campaigns

If you don’t have the time or budget to create a truly worthwhile, comprehensive video campaign, focus on Vine short videos for social networks . Such videos do not need to be edited for a long time – you can do it quickly.

    Christmas card designs

It is very important for businesses of any size to build close relationships with customers. A simple Christmas photo with warm wishes or a postcard can turn a simple subscriber into a loyal customer – this way you show that you value and think about your audience. It’s easy to find Christmas designs online – there are a lot of them, but that’s the problem. Choosing the right card template for Christmas is a challenge. Any will not do, because you need the best. It is the one that inspires and warms. To make your search easier, we have collected the best Christmas pictures in one place.

If you want your Christmas card design to be original, create your own graphics in VistaCreate. You can use a huge collection of free designs – edit them to suit your brand.
Let go of your imagination and don’t be afraid to be “too creative”. Look at some of the coolest Christmas cards the big brands make:

Even this familiar Christmas tree can be a source of fresh ideas for holiday cards.

You can also experiment with style – make your cards and ads look like they are a retro photo:

Christmas UGC fans. This format can work wonders. You not only get unique user-generated content (UGC), but also raise your engagement and your awareness to a new level.

Engagement skyrockets when you encourage followers to participate in your campaigns with the branded hashtag . It also helps to increase trust in the brand in the audience and makes it even more loyal.
Consider how followers can get involved with your brand this holiday season. Can they express themselves with your products? Create a special hashtag for this campaign – and count new subscriptions and likes. There will be many!

Christmas for Insta and Facebook advertising

All brands want to launch a particularly cool social media campaign this winter holiday, which is understandable: it’s a great opportunity to engage your target audience, go viral, grow your following, or make even better friends with those you already have.
Christmas advertising has always been an art. Every year, brands compete for our attention and positive emotions. Their Facebook posts prove it:

Do you want to impress your followers with bright cover photos, good advertising or festive social media stories? Create Facebook posts and designs for Instagram. The tools in the VistaCreate editor – simple and understandable even for beginners – work real Christmas miracles.
Whatever your business, Christmas is the best occasion to show that your brand is more than sales and marketing. Broadcast the philosophy and mission of the brand through a warm Christmas campaign – let people know about your true values. Convenient templates with designs for Christmas ads for social networks will help you with this:

    Christmas Contests

Christmas is a time to share the best. And these days are the perfect moment to remind yourself and draw attention to referral programs. To do this, they often launch Christmas contests and draws that attract attention and set them in the right mood.
Pranks work great on social media. If you spend it together with partners, you will automatically expand the audience to an impressive size . People really like it when they are given a chance to win something – everyone likes to feel like a winner, even a potential one.

Use your social media pages to run a giveaway – and don’t forget to shine a spotlight on your products.

You can have one big draw or many small ones. It all depends on your budget for such promotions. A gift can be quite simple, like a certificate for your goods – people are looking for such offers and sweepstakes in social networks these days.
Christmas competitions from brands in social networks are very different, but all are inspiring. See what they are.

    “To do and win”

“To come up with an inscription and win”

    “Dilute and vote and win”

“Subscribe or noted – and win” 9000 9000 your hashtag for holiday contests to understand how many participants are in the promotion and how they react.

In addition, competitions for employees can be organized. For most companies, this is a team building tool for the team to feel the atmosphere of the holiday and share their emotions. And, of course, share it all on Facebook or Instagram, promoting your brand among your friends.
There are a lot of ideas for Christmas contests – and you can easily design illustrations or videos for them for social networks in VistaCreate.

    Write and Win

Share a Christmas Photo and Win

    Christmas gift guide

Your subscribers are now looking for exactly what to give their loved ones for the holidays. Help them: create a beautiful and convenient gift guide in which you highlight your brand. You can make several guides – with gift ideas for families, men, women, children and even pets.

If your products or services are available at a discount during the holiday season, let everyone know. Create a truly beautiful guide, and then the chances of it being shared on social networks are much higher.

    Christmas countdown

This is where you can unleash your creativity to the fullest. Many people know the song “12 Days of Christmas” – but its value is not only musical. She inspires – to create an amazing mood. And on social media too.

Connect all your social channels at once. Think about the product and what you can focus on in the 12 Days of Fun format. It doesn’t have to be only products – it’s quite possible to use unusual creative content (for example, an animated post).

Think about how to add even more festive and warm in these 12 days before Christmas – and give your customers and subscribers some value. Be informative, fun, and (very important) understandable.
If you sell several services, you can describe each separately – to once again show how diverse your offerings are. In addition, you can put on advertising posts with discounts, different every day. Then there is a higher chance that your content will be shared. Important tip: don’t ignore the 12 Days of Christmas digital pattern, there’s a lot of potential there.

    Christmas Recipe Templates

Your audience has a lot of things to do before Christmas: decorate the tree, buy and wrap gifts, make greeting cards for friends and family, organize a holiday party. But there is something else to keep in mind: Christmas recipes and menus!

Christmas gift ideas for big, small and four-legged

It’s time to wait for Christmas, when Santa Claus receives bags of letters asking for the gifts of his dreams. However, choosing a real gift can also be a headache if family members or friends do not disclose their wishes. A gift card is always a good solution, but if you want to put a specific gift under the Christmas tree, you may find the ideas suggested by Maria Jakovleva, Kesko Senukai Latvia Marketing Manager, useful.

    Gifts for children

At Christmas, children of all ages are waiting for gifts: children’s delight is the moment that brings the greatest joy and the brightest holiday mood to any home. It is relatively easy to buy gifts for children, because the delight of kids from new toys does not dry out. It is worth remembering that the best toys are those that contribute to the development of the child. The little ones celebrating their first or possibly second Christmas will be delighted with a cute sleep toy that you can take with you to the crib, while an interactive bunny or a play table will help develop fine motor skills and speech skills. Of course, the classic assortment of gifts – dolls, doll carriages and houses or remote-controlled cars – will definitely please the little recipient.

Or maybe this year it is worth adapting the gift to the interests of the child or discovering new horizons? Sets of designers are suitable for children of different ages, because you can choose the appropriate level of complexity; board games are usually very simple, such as memory games that can be played with friends or the whole family. Educational games and creative kits help develop erudition in children, and fine motor skills and concentration improve in young children. Give your kid a complex construction set, an exciting board game, a very large puzzle or plasticine, from which you can create the most fantastic things! A little fashionista will need the first set for making jewelry; a scientist – a toy telescope or microscope; for the artist – a set for drawing; for a lover of experiments – a laboratory of smells or crystals.

If the children of a friend or relative need a surprise, don’t be afraid to ask the parents for advice. For example, it is difficult for a child of a few months or a year to find something suitable, most people prefer to give rattles or toys with sound, so the recommendation of parents will be very valuable.

    Gifts for women

To really please a person, you need to know him well. The most valuable gifts are purely personal, reminiscent of some events known to the giver and recipient of the gift, or which have become the fulfillment of cherished desires. Women can be given something that will make them feel special: beauty items, various smart devices, luxurious and elegant interior items.

Luxury and elegance suit Christmas. Replenish the arsenal of the hostess with dishes or interior items in gold, silver and white tones that are relevant this year! These colors dominate the table setting, creating a sense of celebration every day. Even white or simply transparent dishes do not have to be monotonous – this year’s interior trends encourage you to choose dishes with a built-in embossed stripe, decorative veins or beautifully engraved patterns. In turn, after a hearty meal, it will be a real pleasure to immerse yourself in comfortable decorative pillows, wrap yourself in a soft blanket or settle down on a fluffy carpet. Unleash the richness of textures and details that please not only the eye, but also the touch, and please the hostess with one of the most relevant interior items! Vases of an unusual design are suitable both as a highlight of the interior and for arranging flowers, but a robot vacuum cleaner will simplify everyday life and give you more minutes of relaxation.

On the other hand, for a woman who loves to cook, small kitchen appliances – blenders, food processors, coffee machines, etc., will be a good gift, and if she is fond of sports, then a sports smart watch or various exercise equipment will be a great gift, which will allow her to stay in great shape and at home.

    Gifts for men

In most cases, men think practical. It seems that everything for everyday life – work, hobbies and at home – is acquired, but I want to find something unusual so that the moment of surprise is remembered. That is why we most often hesitate when choosing between an original and a practical gift. The assumption that “men are not interested in anything” is misleading. Each of us has something that we pay more attention to, and it does not have to be a hobby.

The choice should be based on the meaning of the gift we want to give: personal, intended solely for the recipient; family, intended for joint pastime, or status. The emotional and financial value of a gift is most often determined by the relationship between the giver and the recipient. It is quite understandable to want to give your beloved man, dad or brother something really useful, choosing a coffee machine or a modern grill, TV, computer, various tools.

For car enthusiasts who always like to repair something, a large set of wrenches or a tool box will come in handy. Car accessories will also be a special pleasure, which will allow a man who is constantly on the road to pamper his reliable car or enjoy additional amenities himself. Music lovers will like wireless headphones, high-quality speakers. Sports watches and bracelets, accessories for your favorite sport will impress a person who is passionate about sports. Nature lovers can use a bicycle, ice bag, hiking bag, etc.

Give something that a man has lost but needs. You can safely choose universal gifts – they are most suitable in cases where the wishes of a man are not very clear.

    For four-legged friends

Play is as essential to our pets as food or outdoor activities. During the game, the animals not only satisfy their instincts, but also exercise and brush their teeth.

One of the favorite toys for dogs is a ball. You can find balls of different sizes and shapes, from different materials, glowing in the dark, beeping or flashing. When choosing the most suitable ball for a dog, it is important to pay attention to the size – the ball should be large enough so that the pet does not swallow it, but also such that the dog can take the toy with his teeth and bring it to the owner. Many dogs also love discs, plush toys that you can take with you on the couch, bite and tear, squeaky toys that will give your pet a lot of pleasure – the louder the sound of the toy, the more fun for the pet; rope toys that dogs love to play with their owner – the dog pulls on one end, and the other end is in your hands. This is not only great fun for both of you, but also a healthy exercise for your dog’s teeth.

Cats have different habits, so the toys that are used for these animals are also different. There are many, but there are toys that most cats will enjoy, such as climbing toys that keep the cat entertained and help satisfy their natural instincts, shiny toys for hunting sunbeams, soft toys that you can enjoy sharpening your nails on, toys that it’s easy to grab your teeth while playing hunting, like mice, and interactive toys that cats will indulge in at times when you don’t have the time or mood to entertain them. If the area of \u200b\u200bthe house allows, give your house to the cat as well! The animal will be delighted to be able to hide from the rest of the world in a safe, warm nest, especially if it can be reached through a climbing obstacle course.
