Phytosanitary certificate is an international document that is required when transporting goods across the border, if these are goods of plant origin. Regulated by the rules of the customs union. This type of product includes all vegetables and fruits, as well as lumber, firewood for heating and wood packaging materials. The fact is that these products may contain parasites, bacteria and other harmful organisms. Therefore, they must undergo phytosanitary treatment. This also applies to wooden pallets, if they are exported as an independent product, or in the form of packaging materials.

According to the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation N 293 dated July 13, 2016 (clause 8, 8.1) for the issuance of a Phytosanitary, Re-export phytosanitary certificate, and a Quarantine certificate – one of the necessary documents is an act of quarantine phytosanitary disinfection.

In accordance with paragraph 3 article 25 206 of the Federal Law “On Plant Quarantine”, in the case when a pallet or box is part of the package, a phytosanitary certificate is not needed.
