  • Arrangement of the frame, wall, floor of a frame house

Arrangement of the frame, wall, floor of a frame house resembles a constructor when it comes to ease of assembly. Everything in its device is extremely simple and functional, because initially frame houses were intended for immigrants to North America in order to quickly provide them with temporary housing. Therefore, such houses are also called Canadian. Over time, they were brought to mind and they became permanent comfortable housing.

    Frame house assembly steps

    1. Floor arrangement
The lower trim of the house is assembled on the foundation, planed wood boards, tongue-and-groove with the help of self-tapping screws and nails are attached to the floor joists
    2. Assembly of the frame
Corner and other support posts are attached to the lower trim and the floor, boards and floor beams, rafters are mounted on them, the upper trim and the roof frame are assembled
    3. Installation of walls
After the frame is assembled, frame panels are attached to it, made strictly according to the project and drawings and equipped with all necessary materials

Construction of the floor and frame of the house

    1. Construction of the floor

Construction of the floor of the frame house is very important, as the floor is the main base for the further construction of the house. As a floor covering, a planed, tongue-and-groove board is usually taken, which lies perpendicular to the floor joists and is nailed to them at an angle so that the nails are not visible from the outside and do not interfere with further work with the floor.

    2. Frame of the house

The most important part in the construction of a frame house is its frame. The frame of the house is a “skeleton” of a building rigidly linked in three planes from bars of different cross-sectional areas, on which the rest of the house structure, such as walls, roof, etc. , is attached. The strength of the future home will depend on the rigidity of the frame hitch. It is important to calculate in advance all the forces and loads that will act on the frame. It is also important what kind of wood the frame is made of. Wood has strict requirements for moisture: it must be properly dried and processed, this is the key to the longevity of the house.

    Frame house wall arrangement

Frame house wall arrangement, as a rule, is represented by a sandwich panel of several materials, each of which has a certain functional value.

    1. Insulation – the most important layer in the frame board

Currently, several modern materials are used as insulation for the boards of a frame house, which have low thermal conductivity with a relatively small volume. For example, mineral wool or basalt slab, which, with a thickness of 15 mm, replace 2 meters of brickwork. Or even more technological penofol, which is enough just 3-4 mm. The figure below shows ecowool insulation as an alternative.

Arranging the wall of a frame house

    2. Films for protection against steam and water

There is a vapor barrier film on the inside of the insulation, and a hydroprotective film on the outside. A membrane against moisture is necessary so that the insulation does not get wet and does not lose its protective properties. Of course, because of these films, the house does not breathe at all, so it is advisable to equip it with a ventilation system.

    3. Materials for inner and outer cladding of the shield

The innermost cladding layer in the construction of the wall of a frame house is drywall, it has a number of advantages, it is non-toxic and does not burn. Outside, the house is sheathed with cement-bonded particle boards or OSB oriented strand boards. Both those and others have their own advantages – environmentally friendly, frost-resistant, DSP does not burn yet. There is also an option for external cladding with a second-rate board. In addition, the outer skin is sometimes lined with brick or decorative panels.

No matter how simple the structure of the frame, walls and floor of a frame house may seem, you should be well versed in this if you are going to build or buy a frame house in Yaroslavl, because this will allow you to avoid unnecessary mistakes when building a house or evaluate the correctness of compliance with the assembly technology when choosing it. Only then will such a house meet all the declared characteristics of reliability and durability.
