Tree removal costs anywhere from $200 to $2,000 or more, with the average price falling around $750. Shorter trees will cost closer to $200, while taller trees are harder to remove and can cost up to $2,000. Many tree removal professionals will charge by the foot, so removing a tall, shady elm tree will cost you more than a little flowering crape myrtle.

Minimum Cost National Average Cost Maximum Cost
$200 $750 $2,000

What Factors Influence Tree Removal Cost?

Tree removal costs vary widely based on height, the number of trees, the diameter of the trunks, and the tree’s accessibility. Whether you have an invasive tree species you want to remove or need it gone for landscaping purposes, take a look at the various costs of cutting down trees below.

Size of Tree

A tree’s size affects several main tree removal cost factors: how long it takes to cut down, the accessibility to higher branches, and possible interference from other trees, power lines, or structures. For example, take a look at the primary tree removal price ranges by size:

  • Up to 30 feet: $150–$450

  • 30–60 feet: $450–$1,200

  • 60–80 feet: $800–$1,500

  • Over 80 feet: $1,000–$2,000

The price tends to take a leap once the tree grows over 80 feet high. At this stage, your team will need to bring in a crane to access its branches—and this comes at a cost of about $500 between the truck rental and additional staff.

Also, keep in mind that trees get wider with age, making the diameter of their trunk more difficult and take longer to cut. In many species, branches and root systems also expand quite far in either direction, adding up to a possible multi-day project to safely remove the tree from the area without affecting other utilities.

Type of Tree

Trees are incredibly unique from one species to the next, making their safe removal all the more complex. The wood on some trees, for example, is incredibly heavy and dense, while others trees feature barriers to removal, such as expansive root systems, particularly long branches, or laws to protect their removal without a permit.

We’ll outline the cost of tree removal for the primary species below, but it’s important to note that the type of tree can push prices up to $2,500. Some species, such as palm, eucalyptus, and sycamore, may require extra steps such as applying herbicide or removing palm fronds individually.

Health of the Tree

Poor health and structural issues can account for up to 15% of the final cost of tree removal. On the one hand, a diseased tree with soft or easily breakable wood can make it easier and less expensive to remove at just $400 to $900. On the other, a tree removal team may also need specialized rigging methods and equipment to bring it down safely.

Uprooted or fallen trees can cost as little as $300 to $500, as the team will just need to cut up and haul away the lumber. In this case, check your homeowners’ insurance policy to see if the plan covers tree removal. It may depend on the reason it fell and whether it affected the structure of your home.

Number of Trees

If you need multiple trees removed on a plot of land, a company may change by the acre instead of by specific tree count. The cost per acre will depend on how densely forested the acre is, the health of the trees, and their variety. You’ll pay anywhere from $500 to $6,000 per acre for tree removal, up to $2,500 per acre for a lightly wooded acre and over $6,000 for a very densely wooded one.

Cost per Foot

If you break down the cost to remove a tree by foot, the range will vary depending on the species and how much height you’re dealing with. As we mentioned above, larger trees require more equipment, which can push up the per-foot price. The tiniest trees can cost as low as $8 per foot, while taller trees—typically over 80 feet—can cost $15 per foot or more.

Accessibility

Expect to pay 25% to 50% more to take out a tree in a tight, hard-to-reach, or unsafe spot. When the tree is close to power lines or has heavy branches hanging precariously over your property, it will make the job a bigger challenge. Removing a big tree from a tight space in a small yard isn’t straightforward, either.

Agreeing to remove fences or major obstacles before the pros come out can sometimes cut costs.

Materials

Professional tree removal services may use a variety of saws and ladders in addition to a bucket truck and other items for cleanup. The service will also require safety materials, like hard hats, earplugs, goggles, gloves, and steel-toed boots.

Labor

Tree removal is a risky job that requires professional skills, which is why much of the cost of tree removal service is in the labor.

Certified arborists can efficiently and safely remove trees, assessing nearby risks during the job and ensuring there is no unnecessary damage to your home or yard. That is why you can expect to pay per foot, as taller trees require more time and risk to remove, rather than hourly rates. Before hiring a pro, make sure they are insured.

Tree Removal Costs by Region

People living in locations with variable seasons can take advantage of off-season discounts that some tree removal companies offer during colder months. If you don’t need to urgently remove a tree, winter can be a great time to do so.

Tree Removal Costs by State

Different states have different requirements, such as permits or environmental laws, that can change the cost of tree removal. Here are the rates for tree removal in several states across the U.S.

Location Average Cost
California $650 – $1,300
Illinois $535 – $730
Colorado $350 – $650
Florida $750 – $1,500
Maine $515 – $700
New York $750 – $1,100
North Carolina $600 – $900
Texas $300 – $850
Washington $550 – $800
Washington, D. C. $250 – $700

Tree Removal Costs: Rural vs. City

Costs for tree removal can also vary based on if you live on a city block or on a farm. In a city, services are closer to you and won’t likely charge for the time spent traveling to your property. If you live in a rural area, tree removal companies will charge about $0.50 per mile to travel to your home or a flat rate ranging from $50 to $200.

Additional Costs to Consider

Unforeseen circumstances and ongoing maintenance can result in other overheads. It’s worth keeping the following in mind.

Cleanup and Debris Removal

Most of the time, you aren’t going to want to keep the tree stump after the tree is removed. Removing a tree can also leave behind a trail of branches, bark, leaves, and the tree itself. The company might haul away your tree for about $70, put it through a chipper for an average cost of $95, or split it into firewood for your home at about $70.

Emergency

Do you have a tree tipping precariously close to your home after a storm? In this situation, you can’t delay calling out the pros.

Emergency tree removal usually comes at a premium, especially when services are in high demand, like they will be after a storm. How much you pay depends on the circumstances, but it isn’t unheard of to pay as much as $5,000 in an urgent situation.

Home insurance policies often cover the cost of cutting down trees when it relates to some storm damage, so it’s worth checking your policy conditions.

Fallen Tree

Expect to pay $75 to $150 to remove a tree that has already fallen. The pros don’t have any climbing or careful cutting to do, so it’s usually just a case of chopping it up or mulching it before removal.

However, if you have a dead or dying tree, don’t let it get to the stage where it falls itself. It can do major damage to surrounding property, and you don’t want it to fall on family or unsuspecting passersby. Some local authorities will also charge fines for neglecting it.

Tree Removal by Type

Some trees can grow to a very stately 100 feet tall or more. American ash, bur oak, and maple are considered to be more difficult to remove than others, and therefore, removing them costs more.

Oak

Some states, such as California, forbid the removal of oak trees, as they are considered heritage trees. Other trees that might fall into this category are the Douglas fir, Santa Cruz cypress, and redwoods.

If, after contacting your city’s planning and building department, you discover you are allowed to remove an oak tree, you will likely spend $800 for a 60-foot tree. However, oak trees can reach up to 100 feet, so the average range is between $200 and $2,000.

Japanese Knotweed

Japanese knotweed is not a tree, but rather a shrub. It is often mistaken for a tree, as it can grow up to 10 feet high, and is highly invasive. In fact, some states, such as Michigan, prohibit the possession or introduction of it. It spreads very fast and aggressively via its rhizomes (an underground stem) which can be as long as 40 feet in length.

Some people have even reported Japanese knotweed growing so aggressively that it knocked the flooring out from under their homes. If you have spotted a few young plants, remove them immediately, and take care to remove all the roots and rhizomes as well.

A professional will likely charge based on the square footage of the area the knotweed has spread over, and the intensity of the invasion. Prices will likely start at $2,000 and go up to $10,000

Aspen

An aspen is a poplar tree, just like cottonwoods and balsams. These trees are enormous, reaching heights of 90 to 115 feet. Due to their complex and expansive root system, aspens can cost $1,000 to $1,800 to remove.

Pine

You will spend $250 to $1,500 to remove a pine tree, depending on its size and health. Older trees cost more not only because of their size, but because they could have a tap root living deep inside the soil. This feature requires a specialist to remove it by cutting into the surface roots, clearing the stump, and treating the soil.

Without this extra care and expertise, you might leave seedlings in the soil and have a new pine tree on your hands before long.

Palm

Palms are extremely heavy, weighing between 100 and 1,000 pounds per foot of truck, depending on the variety. Because of this, the cost to remove a palm tree between 35 and 60 feet tall is $650. For palm trees taller than 80 feet, the price will jump between $1,100 and $1,500.

Maple

Maples can grow to 100 feet high and have very large branches, which makes them expensive to remove. Expect to pay between $250 and $2,000.

Ash

Ash trees have strikingly colored leaves in autumn, coming in purple, red, orange, and more. These trees reach 80 feet with branches that spread as wide as 25 feet and cost $250 to $1,800 to remove.

Cedar

The tree in your yard could be a “true cedar,” which is native to places with very high altitudes, such as the Himalayas or the Mediterranean and can reach heights of 160 feet. False cedars are more common in North America, though, and look very similar to true cedars.

The false variety can range from 50 to 230 feet in height. Depending on the height, removing a cedar can cost between $250 and $1,500.

Additional Tree Service Costs

Several costs related to tree removal account for what happens to the stump after the tree is cut down or how to handle moving and trimming healthy trees. These prices can also come in handy if you’re on the fence about cutting down or saving a tree.

Stump Removal

Stump removal is typically $100 to $150 for the first stump, with a deal on multiple stumps, such as $50 per additional stump removal. Removing a tree stump is dangerous, but if you are comfortable and skilled with handling a chainsaw (and put on the proper personal protection equipment), you can remove tree stumps with a chainsaw to save a little bit of money.

Tree Trimming and Pruning

If you decide against removing a tree entirely—or have more than one tree in your yard—you may also want to pay for pruning. The cost to prune a tree ranges from $75 to $1,500. How much you pay depends on whether it’s a small sapling or a mature monster. Pruning is normally done every few years to rid the tree of dead, diseased, or damaged branches.

Trimming is usually an annual undertaking and costs between $200 and $760, but it’s all about aesthetics rather than health. It keeps your tree looking neat in terms of size and shape.

The pros might shave around $25 to $100 off their bill if you’re happy to clean up the chopped branches and debris yourself.

Transplanting

The cost to transplant a tree starts at around $400, but it can go up to $5,000 or more for long-distance moves of large trees with sprawling roots. This might only be something you want to consider if you’ve got a tree with particular sentimental or prize-winning value.

How Much Does DIY Tree Removal Cost?

Tree removal is a dangerous job you should leave to skilled professionals. If you have the required skill set, you might save a couple hundred dollars going the DIY route and learning how to cut down a tree yourself, but the money saved doesn’t outweigh the associated risks. In some cities, it’s even illegal to remove a tree yourself.

Cost of Materials

Safety is essential, so many materials are directly related to keeping yourself protected. Expect to pay $200 to $300 for gloves, protective goggles, steel-toed boots, a hard hat, chainsaw chaps, and earplugs. You’ll also need a chainsaw ($50 to $150) and felling wedges ($20 for six).

Skills Required

Tree removal is best left to certified arborists, who can remove trees with minimal environmental impact while also avoiding risks of property damage or injury. Removing a tree requires navigating the potential interference of wires, underground pipes, and other infrastructure on the property that isn’t always in plain sight.

Risks

We can’t stress this enough: tree removal is dangerous. It’s almost always a better idea to hire a local tree removal pro.

Many times, removing a tree, even by a professional, requires proper permits. If you don’t already have the necessary equipment, it can actually be even more expensive to handle this task on your own.

Even for small trees, there is a high risk of hurting yourself or damaging your property and incurring fines. For larger trees, there’s a greater risk of serious injury or even death by attempting DIY tree removal. You’ll also need to take other nearby trees and electrical lines into consideration—these make a DIY job even more dangerous.

How to Know if a Tree Needs Removal

There are a few signs to heed that might indicate a tree that should be removed:

  • The tree is dead, or over 25% of its branches are dead.

  • The trunk is hollowed or in otherwise poor health; a weak trunk cannot support the rest of a tree.

  • There are signs of pest infestation or fungus.

  • The tree is too close to power lines or an existing structure.

  • The tree is leaning 15 degrees or more, indicating a problem in its root system.

How You Can Save Money on Tree Removal

There are a few ways to save on tree removal—the first is confirming that you need the tree removed in the first place.

Reuse Debris

Any healthy wood scraps (free from pests or disease) can likely be reused in the form of firewood or to make furniture and other household items. In addition, it’s possible that a local woodworker or furniture maker might take the wood off your hands for their own work, and will haul it away for free.

Talk to the Utility Company

If the tree is intersecting with a power line or is about to, your utility company might remove it at no cost to you.

Get an Evaluation

A local arborist can confirm if you need the entire tree removed, or if cutting some branches will suffice. In addition, it’s important to have a professional maintain and check your trees every year. With the right care, trees should live a long time.

Frequently Asked Questions

For small trees, tree removal should take just a couple of hours to complete. Assume that a mid-sized tree will take between four and eight hours, depending on the extent of the equipment required and the health of the tree. Remember to add up to two hours for stump removal. Larger trees could take as long as one or two working days, about eight hours each.

A small, healthy tree growing close to your home isn’t usually a problem. However, it’s worth speaking to an arborist if you have a tree within 15 to 20 feet of your home that isn’t in such good health or is encroaching on your home’s perimeter. The last thing you want is branches burrowing their way under tiles, causing a roof leak.

Unless it’s dead or dangerous, think twice about cutting down a tree in your yard. They’re good for health, well-being, wildlife, and the environment. Plus, local authorities often have regulations prohibiting the removal of trees, especially protected species or individual trees with historical value.

Average tree removal costs in 2023

National Average Cost $850
Typical Price Range $385 –  $1,070
Extreme Low End Cost $230
Extreme High End Cost $2,000

There are a few factors that will affect the cost of tree removal, such as the height and width of the tree, as well as how close it is to power lines or buildings. If the tree is located in a difficult spot to reach, this will also drive up the cost.

For example, removing a small tree that is up to 30 feet tall will cost between $285 and $435. On the other hand, if you need to remove a large tree that is over 80 feet tall, the cost will be between $1,160 and $2,000.

Tree removal cost estimator by tree size

Trees come in all shapes and sizes, and so do the prices to remove them. The height of the tree will affect how much it costs to remove, with taller trees generally being more expensive. For example, a tree that is around 30 to 60 feet tall will cost between $435 and $870 to remove, while a tree that is 80 feet tall will cost between $1,160 and $2,000.

On average, the cost to remove a tree is between $9.50 and $14.50 per foot. So, if you have a tree that is 30 feet tall, the cost to remove it will be between $285 and $435.

Tree height Average cost to remove
Up to 30 feet $285 – $435
30 – 60 feet $435 – $870
60-80 feet $870 – $1,160
Over 80 feet $1,160 – $2,000

Other factors that affect cost

From the type of tree to its location, there are a number of other factors that can affect the cost of tree removal.

Type of tree

Some trees are more difficult to remove than others. For example, palms and fig trees tend to be more expensive to remove because they have extensive root systems.

Tree type Average size per tree type (based on typical mature height) Average removal cost
Pine tree 50-100 feet $475 – $1,450
Palm tree 30-50 feet $310 – $475
Oak tree 40-80 feet $380 – $1,160
Cedar tree 60-120 feet $570 – $1,740
Ash tree 50-80 feet $475 – $1,160
Maple tree 60-90 feet $570 – $1,305

Tree removal costs per acre

On average, it will cost between $850 and $6,000 per acre to remove trees in bulk. The cost depends on the number of trees, as well as the size and type of tree. The advantage of removing trees by the acre is that you can negotiate a lower price with the tree removal company.

Fallen tree removal cost

If a tree has fallen on your property, it will generally cost between $90 and $300 to have it removed. The cost will depend on the size of the tree and how difficult it is to remove.

Tree removal costs by condition

On average, it will cost between $400 and $1,000 to remove a tree that is in good condition. The cost will increase if the tree is in bad condition, such as if it is diseased or has been damaged by a storm, because it will be more difficult to remove.

Emergency tree removal cost

If you need to have a tree removed immediately – such as if it falls through the roof of your home or on a power line – it will generally cost between $450 and $3,000. The cost will depend on the size of the tree and how difficult it is to remove.

Cost of travel

Extra travel cost on average Average cost per mile
$50 and $200 $0. 50 per mile

Some tree removal companies will charge a travel fee if they need to travel more than 30 minutes to get to your property. This fee will generally be between $50 and $200.

Whether you need tree moving services or stump removal, there are a few related services that you may need to complete the job.

Tree trimming cost

If you need to have your trees trimmed, it will generally cost between $255 and $655 with a national average price of $420. The cost of tree trimming will depend on the size and type of tree, as well as how difficult it is to trim.

Tree stump removal cost

If you want the stump removed as well, it will cost an additional $180 to $525. Stump removal cost is usually a separate charge from tree removal cost.

Factors that affect stump removal cost include:

  • The size of the stump
  • The type of tree
  • The location of the stump
  • How difficult it is to remove the stump

Tree moving cost

On average, moving a tree will cost between $90 and $300. The cost to move a tree will depend on the size and type of tree, as well as how far it needs to be moved. To transplant a tree, the tree removal company will need to dig up the entire root system, which can be difficult and time-consuming.

Factors that affect tree moving cost include:

  • The size of the tree
  • The type of tree
  • The distance the tree needs to be moved
  • How difficult it is to move the tree

Wood chipping and logging cost

If you want the tree removed and the wood chipped or logged, there will be an additional cost. While the cost of wood chipping is usually around $75 to $125 per hour, logging cost will generally depend on the size and type of tree being removed.

Service Average cost
Chipping $75 to $125 hourly rate
Log splitting $75 to $100 per tree
Hauling away debris $100 to $200 total

Cost of DIY tree removal

Removing a tree yourself is generally cheaper than hiring a professional, although the cost of DIY tree removal can vary depending on the size and type of tree, as well as the tools and equipment required.

Depending on the size of the tree, you may need to buy a chainsaw or other equipment, which will add to your cost.

Note: Tree removal can be difficult and dangerous. We recommend hiring a pro for this job if you’re inexperienced.

DIY cost breakdown

DIY Equipment Average Cost
Chainsaw $60 – $200
Axe $60
Felling wedges $20
Hard hat $25
Safety glasses $15
Hearing protection $25
Work gloves $15
Total DIY Cost $220 – $360

How to remove a tree DIY in 8 steps

These are the basic steps to cut down a tree yourself:

Step 1: Assess the tree and the surrounding area. Make sure that there are no power lines or other structures that could be damaged during the removal process.

Step 2: Estimate where the tree will fall using rope or another method to mark out the proposed path of the falling tree.

Step 3: Water the soil around the tree base to soften it. This will make it easier to dig out the roots later on. It should be done the day before you plan to start the removal process.

Step 4: Cut a notch in the tree trunk. This will help you control the direction of the fall. The notch should be about a third of the way through the trunk and should be facing in the direction you want the tree to fall.

Step 5: Make sure there are no people or animals in the vicinity of the tree. Once you are sure that the area is clear, you can begin to cut through the trunk from the top of the notch downwards.

Step 6: Apply pressure to the side of the tree that is opposite to the direction you want it to fall as you cut through the trunk. This will help to control the tree as it falls.

Step 7: Once the trunk is cut through, the tree should begin to fall. If it does not, you can use a rope or another method to pull it in the desired direction.

Step 8: Remove the branches and cut the tree into smaller pieces for easier disposal once you’ve got it on the ground.

WARNING: Removing a tree can be dangerous, so you must use safety equipment, including a hard hat, safety goggles, hearing protection, and work gloves. If you’re inexperienced with a chainsaw, we highly recommend hiring a professional tree service.

DIY cost vs. professional cost

Most of the time, you can save money by removing a tree yourself rather than hiring a professional – but that’s only if you do everything right. If something goes wrong, you could hurt yourself and end up with hefty medical bills or cause expensive damage to your home, car, or landscaping.

Look beyond the price and consider the risks carefully before deciding to cut down a tree on your own.

Average Pro Removal Cost Average DIY Cost
$385 –  $1,070 $220 – $360

Cost of tree removal by location

The cost of tree removal will also depend on where you live. In general, tree removal costs less in rural areas, where there’s more space to work, than it does in urban areas, where worksites are often cramped and full of obstacles.

What’s more, the cost of tree removal in Southern states is generally lower than in Northern states because there is a higher demand for tree removal services in Northern states.

Removal of trees in the Moscow region low prices

Increasingly, the removal of trees in Moscow and on the territory of the Moscow region is becoming commonplace. Emergency trunks and branches that are dangerous to people must be removed. Just old trees damaged by winds or frosts, with a disturbed root system due to high groundwater, as well as fruit trees that have already ceased to bear fruit and, according to external signs, are at the drying stage. And, if the owner can deal with the removal of low and decorative ones on his own, then trying to cope with tall trees without special equipment and skills is very dangerous, and in some cases almost impossible. Calling a professional arborist guarantees the safety and cleanliness of the work.

List of our services

Removal of entire trees, specifics of the technique

Clearing the yard from old tree trunks and dead vegetation is carried out using various production methods. For example, an acacia is cut entirely at the root, the branches are gradually removed, and the tree trunk is cut down in fragments. Each method has its own difficulties. It is not enough to cut down a whole fruit tree or a thick, tall plant. This is easy to do with a chainsaw. An experienced lumberjack determines the direction of falling trees, knows which side to start sawing, where to push, so as not to catch the roof of a building or a person along the way. Practice-proven methods help in calculations and work:

  1. Guy wire removal. An arborist with ladder climbing skills climbs knots to the top of the trees, regardless of the type of wood and height, it is important that the structure withstand the weight of the subject with the tools. The climber throws a lasso on a tree, below the workers catch the edge of the rope, pull it at an angle necessary for the tree trunk to fall in the right direction.
  2. Winch removal. As in the first case, the top of the tree is hooked with a loop, the cable is firmly fixed with high-quality knots, carabiners. Then the loop is pulled, while calculating the place where the trees fell with an accuracy of two meters.
Types of work (prices in rubles) Diameter at a height of 40 cm
20 — 50 cm 60 — 80 cm from 80 cm
Whole without guy in the direction of inclination from 500 from 1000 from 1500
Whole guyed from 1000 from 1500 from 2000 900 28
Whole winch from 1500 from 2000 from 2500

purge effects provided in rubles. The diameter parameters are taken from measurements at a height of 40 cm. Approximately at this distance is the chest of an adult. A detailed description of the payment for each service can be found in the price list.

Removal of deadwood by sawing in parts

Removal of old trees or whole acacia is difficult even with powerful equipment. If there is no place nearby where to fell the trees, there is electrical wiring, there is a roof, the walls of buildings, the master will partially cut the cleaned main stem. First, the employees of the Moscow company carry out the removal of the lower branches and branches of trees. Then the specialist puts on a safety belt, climbs to the top, cuts branches along the way, drops them to a safe place, and proceeds to fragmentary cutting of trees.

For many years of tree growth, staples and nails may appear in the depth of the cross section, and not a single owner of Moscow will be able to remember where they came from. In the course of work, due to obstacles in the core area, iron elements, and the hardness of the trees, the craftsmen have to change the saws on the chainsaw several times in order to carefully saw off and safely lower the small parts of the trees down.

Smooth descent of sawn beams

Regardless of the area, whether it is the center of Moscow or its region, arborists use the technique of removing trees with a smooth descent, when it is impossible to drop the stumps on a flower bed, berry bushes, and healthy oaks, poplars in small forests grow nearby. Parts of the trees can spoil the design of the garden path, overgrowth, and also get on the lighting device.

In order not to break anything, sawn-off pieces of trees are lowered, constrained by a rope. Smoothly and gently, the branches are lowered into an empty place in the yard. To lower parts of trees, a method is used that is convenient in this situation:

  1. Removal of a whole log when trees are surrounded by other vegetation. You will need a long, strong rope. The worker climbs the trunk, which is scheduled for removal, wraps the middle well with a knot, throws the free ends with loops on the neighboring tree tops. When a large trunk is cut at the root, it hangs on the mount, then the lumberjack carefully lowers the log. The stump is then uprooted from the ground, breaking its main part into chips.
  2. Removal with short chocks using nearby strong trees. One specialist climbs the old maple tree, which is to be removed, the other climbs the neighboring trunk. To remove, you need 2 cables. One is attached to a section of trees prepared for a log house, the end of the rope is tied on a linden opposite from the saw cut, with the other cable they do the same, but at the object of removal. The main fasteners on which the log will be held are placed in parallel. After cutting down the trees, the fixed bar will hang, all that remains is to lower it.
  3. Working on a tree that they planned to delete. Make 2 knots, in the area intended for cutting and from below on the main stem. After cutting, the beam will hang, then it is lowered and proceed to another procedure.
  4. All stages of high-altitude work on the tops of trees require attention and care so as not to be hit by a block of wood and not harm others. Therefore, only experienced workers are allowed to work on removing trees, whether it be a summer cottage, a region or the city of Moscow itself.

How to remove dead wood from a vehicle

For sanitary felling of old trees on a turnkey basis next to power lines, an aerial platform is often used. There are many reasons: it is dangerous to climb a weak trunk, it is undesirable to get on a wire with a dry branch. The customer will have to pay for the rental of special vehicles, but the costs are worth it. The call is issued if there is an access road to the withered trees. At the conclusion of the contract, the specialists cut down the old trees into separate fragments. Also carried out felling, cleaning the overgrown land from parts of trees, stumps and other industrial waste.

What is considered emergency

Any tree in a summer cottage in Moscow or the region can become an object of danger if there is a threat to people or utility systems. It may be old dead wood with mowing or weak structure, disturbed root development, bark with signs of necrosis. Viable dense vegetation can also create an emergency if the crown of trees has grown so much that it can break high-voltage wires.

Cut, uproot, prune or clear flora that:

  • weak root system, eroded roots;
  • old stem squinted, cracks appeared;
  • A large sprout of trees covered the roof of a residential building and reaches the power line;
  • there are signs of infection in the growth.

Removal of trees is carried out in such a way as not to harm the surrounding property, the log is sawn in parts, being at the top. First, the arborist cuts down the branches of the trees, then carefully lowers them down. These actions are called controlled.

If there is no free area below on the land plot where cut off shoots can be dumped, removal occurs with the help of nearby strong trees. A device is pulled onto the main cylindrical stem to direct the fall. Having finished with the exposure, the experts begin cutting the trees.

The availability of free space and working conditions determine the removal of trees, as well as the choice of technology that the craftsmen will have to use – lower the parts along the ropes or drop them down after the felling is completed. To use the aerial platform, you need access to the trees and the height of the boom of the equipment. The specialist must reach the crown of the trees if it is dangerous to work on the ash itself.

Due to the seriousness of cutting down trees with the use of special equipment, the time required for high-quality cutting and increased safety requirements, it is better to entrust tree removal to professionals. In order to prevent a fire in the presence of dead wood near the conductors near the house, we suggest contacting professional arborists. How low prices remain stable

In a Moscow company, prices for fruit tree removal, stump felling and land clearing do not increase regardless of economic factors. The calculation of the cost of tree uprooting services is carried out by competent economists in Moscow, who take into account the costs of the enterprise, the high cost of products, including equipment rental. Only the amount of income necessary for this remains for development.

Evaluation of works is established on the basis of:

  • tree trunk diameters and lift heights;
  • wood species by hardness level;
  • order volume for felling old trees and harvesting logs;
  • deadwood placement;
  • neighboring objects – fences, buildings, other plants that prevent you from driving or approaching.

When determining the final price of the work, our financiers take into account the complexity of the technology during production, as well as the possibility of removing trees with the release of branches or having to cut off parts at a height, then carefully lower the stumps. The choice of tree cutting technique depends on the amount of pruning, the risk of damage during the main work, as well as on the chosen method of tree removal. The more actions you have to perform on the site, the higher the total cost and time to complete the work will be.

Nuances of serious actions

Removing trees, crushing dried oaks, both in Moscow and the region, is a dangerous procedure. Cutting the trunk in parts, felling, dropping tree segments down and removal, should be carried out under safe conditions for the site and others. Only industrial climbers with sufficient qualifications climb to the top of the trees. The masters will have to be at a height, cut down extra shoots of trees, free the path from the branches for the free landing of felled old trees.

At the end of the preliminary preparation, clearing the road, the lumberjack cuts the trees to correct the angle of fall, then finishes the old trunk. In the course of work, there is a great risk of destroying the integrity of the grass or landscape design. The total price for cutting down old trees depends on the complexity of the actions and time. To protect neighboring flower beds, a section of the house near the work site, the soil is covered with flooring.

Piecemeal tree removal is more expensive than other methods because it is a neat, labor intensive and very dangerous production process. The specialist must independently gain a foothold on the old tree stem, install cables, ropes, carabiners, throw loops, keeping balance. After dropping tree branches, it is necessary to send down a heavy old, rotten bar, without harming the territorial and surface area, lower plants, buildings, guides. Each operation is entered into the calculation, prices are set according to tariffs, displaying the total cost of removing trees and uprooting stumps with further export.

Settlement procedure

Tree clearing specialists go to the client within an hour on the territory of private land holdings, if necessary, take measurements, determine the scope of work, and draw up an estimate for the dismantling of old trees. This service is free of charge, as it is considered a preparatory stage. You can call a tree sawing master in the capital and the region, as well as other cities: Khimki, Krasnogorsk, Zhukovsky district, etc.

The customer pays the cost of transportation costs at actual rates, as in the case when sanitary felling of trees is ordered to go to the region. The estimate is made up of taking into account the kilometers of special equipment run to get to the site where you have to work. In the case of an order for the removal of trees with subsequent removal, our specialists draw up documents and receive a felling ticket allowing such work to be carried out. There are no additional coefficients, adjustments when setting the cost for tree removal. The final price depends on the actual volume, difficulty and time of the work, conditions, as well as the type of trees selected for removal.

The calculation takes into account the following factors:

  • species, diameters of old trees to be removed; they are measured at the height of the chest of an average height of a person;
  • height, spreading of plants, what is below, the size of the free zone for dropping logs;
  • condition of the trees, for example, how old the maple is, the level of dryness, slopes, breaks;
  • distance from the place of felling of trees to the folding of branches;
  • whether harvesting is required with the removal of logging residues.

In order for the uprooting specialist to come home, the client will need to compensate for the costs of additional services:

  • sanitary pruning of shrubs;
  • uprooting of stumps;
  • clearing the area from felled tree prunings;
  • removal of wood waste and firewood.

When the old garden is in need and weather conditions are favorable, the arborist will perform any tree-related work with a minimum investment of time: trimming, crushing, clearing the site of cut trees, cleaning old elms, getting rid of stumps, removing weeds near private or public properties. Rich experience in this field allows us to provide high guarantees for all types of work on the removal, chopping and uprooting of trees.
