The only challenges that I had were 1) She did not stick to my original budget and 2) she was not clear with the item return policies and fees.
When we first met to discuss my project, I told her my original budget. She said she understood. When she started to present items to me, they were much more expensive that I had wanted to pay. Did I like them? Yes. Did I end up getting them? Yes. But I didn’t want to spend that much. Could I have gotten something as good at a better price, maybe. This was kind of how it went for all of my furniture orders. So if you MUST stay with budget, you will need to hold your boundaries with Karina.
In addition, she said I would have no problem sending stuff back if I didn’t like it, but what she didn’t tell me was that there would be a shipping fee and perhaps a 20% restocking fee. She said the industry was changing, that it wasn’t normally like that. She did fight to avoid those fees, but we ended up paying a restocking fee on one item. So be very mindful of each vendor’s return policy.
Given that you now know these two topics and can respond accordingly, I think you will be very happy working with Karina. She will do excellent work for you. Just be mindful of these items and you will be very happy with the outcome. She’s great at what she does. She’s pleasant to work with and your place will be beautiful and of high quality.
