Home Elevator Costs, Residential Elevator Costs
Whether you need an elevator in your home because of a disability or you want to add a luxurious touch, a home elevator from Nationwide Lifts is affordable and practical. At Nationwide Lifts, you can choose from a variety of traditional and contemporary elevators, wheelchair lifts, and stair lifts.
A Home Elevator Is Not As Expensive As You Think
Having an elevator in your home is not as expensive as you might think. Most people feel like home elevators are for the rich and famous only, when, in fact, many middle class homes have an elevator inside. Some people have them to add a luxurious feel, and others have them installed because a disability or age has made it difficult to use the stairs. No matter what your reasoning is for getting a home elevator, Nationwide Lifts has the right one for you.
The average cost of a home elevator is between $10,000 and $20,000.
Higher-end models or optional features can raise the price to $30,000 and up. A home elevator will cost you about the same as most new cars. If you are adding an elevator to an existing home, it will be more expensive than building a house with one. To protect your investment at Nationwide Lifts, we back our elevators with a 10-year mechanical warranty. Elevator costs vary by model, size, and drive system.
The cost of installation can sometimes be a bit high, depending on the type of elevator. A pneumatic elevator needs minimal installation because they are smaller and does not need a pit or machine room, and little construction is needed. Larger elevators that may cause you to make altercations to your home; to fit it would drive the installation price up. You will also need to get a permit to install a home elevator and that could run you a few hundred dollars.
The Less Costly Alternative: Stair Lifts
If you want a less costly alternative, at Nationwide Lifts, we also offer stair lifts. These less expensive lifts give you the ability to travel up and down the stairs in a chair that moves via a track. They only accommodate one passenger but are easy to install and inexpensive.

What Are Drive Systems and How Do They Impact Cost?
Drive systems are the heart of the electronic and mechanical operations of your home elevator. Arrow Lift offers three home elevator drive systems:
Roped hydraulic drive is a quiet, smooth drive system. It can be used in taller spaces without having to drill in the ground, as is done with direct hydraulic drive systems.
Inline gear drive is the most economical and space-saving option, being able to fit into compact overhead spaces.
Winding drum drive is a technology that has been used in several types of home elevators throughout the years. Recently, this includes many shaftless elevators, which are popular today.
Air-powered/pneumatic vacuum drive is a newer technology used in modern, luxury home elevators with round, transparent shafts, and cars.
The drive system you choose can impact the cost of your home elevator. Typically, the air-powered drive is the most expensive, and the inline gear drive or winding drum drive is the most cost-effective.

Construction and Cost
Whether you are building a new home or remodeling an existing one, there are construction costs to install an elevator in your home. Installation typically requires foundation work, a hoistway structure, electrical power, fixtures, trim carpentry, and finish work.
There are many factors that go into construction costs, such as:

Lift for house or cottage
Previously, the idea of installing an elevator in a country house was perceived as something extraordinary, it was more common to use stairs to descend or ascend between floors. But today we can safely talk about technical and architectural progress – every fifth cottage began to be equipped with a lift – a cottage bodice.
The lift for a cottage is not just an element of luxury, it is a kind of constructional miracle that is bestowed with admiring glances. One of the arguments in favor of installing an elevator in the house is also the economic benefit, because the cost of the cottage in which the Home Elevator is installed is steadily increasing. Following fashionable engineering trends in architecture, it is possible to achieve the most exclusive and unique solutions for the Elevator in the interior space of a country house.

installation of elevators in Novosibirsk – Express-Lift
Three main methods are currently used:
element by element, enlarged blocks and tubing.
All methods have their own characteristics, which have a significant impact on the price of work and the timing of the installation of the elevator.
Piece by piece assembly
– this is the installation of an elevator installation from individual parts and assembly units directly on site. This method is most often used when installing a ceiling in a mine and a machine room, when replacing or reconstructing old elevators, as well as when installing elevators in low-rise buildings (2-3 floors).
Coarse block mounting
– this is an installation method in which at the factory or at the production base all parts and assembly units of the elevator are pre-assembled into enlarged blocks. Enlarged blocks, for example, are: a winch assembly with a frame, subframe and shock absorbers, an elevator cabin with an installed and connected electrical part, an assembled counterweight frame, shaft doors with shutters, as well as separate blocks of the shaft metal frame. This installation method is usually carried out using a construction crane in the absence of overlap in the shaft opening and in the engine room.
Tubing method
– this is the installation of individual parts of the shaft from pre-made volumetric reinforced concrete elements – tubing, in which a special team of installers installs part of the elevator equipment at the house-building plant. Tubing is an element of an elevator shaft with a height of one storey span, in which the following can be installed: shaft doors, mounting scaffolds, brackets for attaching cabin rails and counterweights, as well as some elements of the shaft’s electrical equipment. The pit and machine room can also be assembled on site from prefabricated tubing. The installation of the elevator by the tubing method is carried out directly during the construction of the building using a construction crane.
It should be noted that the methods of mounting elevator equipment with enlarged blocks or tubings are applicable only for domestic-made elevators, since the ability to assemble and adjust fully assembled units at the elevator manufacturer plays a significant role here. For elevators of foreign firms, most likely, element-by-element installation will be required.
When choosing an elevator installation method, the condition of the building, the possibility of coordinating work with builders, as well as the completeness of the supply of elevator equipment are of primary importance. Recently, when replacing elevators, the method of mounting from the roof or frame of the old elevator cabin is widely used, which in this case plays the role of scaffolding and makes it possible to abandon mounting winches, which significantly speeds up and reduces the cost of the process. On average, we can say that the installation of a passenger elevator in a multi-storey building will take about 30 days, a freight elevator – up to two months.
The choice of one or another method of mounting a particular unit depends on the design of this unit and the elevator as a whole. The elevator shaft in the building according to its design can be deaf, half-open or attached, and in terms of quality – brick, concrete, reinforced concrete and metal frame – all these characteristics are important when choosing the installation method. Elevator installation according to the type of drive can be electric or hydraulic, in each of the options the design of the lifting mechanism and the very principle of its operation will differ (drive from an electric motor or a hydraulic drive of translational motion with a pump). The machine room of the elevator installation can be located at the top or bottom of the shaft, this will determine the way the winch is installed (this does not apply to the block room, which is always located at the top of the shaft).
