Ladies and gents, if you glazed over the title then you know what this piece is going to be all about. Yes, a motor coach that comes in with a starting price tag of $1,296,080. Yes, we’re telling you that this motorhome, the King Aire, comes in with a starting price tag of over $1,000,000.

But before we get into the nitty gritty of it all, let’s find out a little bit about the creators of this vault on wheels, Newmar. Well, about this team, there really isn’t much to say. If you haven’t heard of them, your parents or grandparents surely have.

They’ve been fabricating and mastering the art of mobile homes since 1968. Ultimately, the range they like to operate in is above $100,000. We’ve even featured some of their other works before on our site, and all are up to this luxurious standard.

As for the King Aire, this is the most expensive motorhome the company has to offer. But why so much? Well, let’s find out, shall we? Check this out. To help you along with the text and to offer a much clearer view of what we’ll be talking about, there’s also a video below that will take you on a tour of this motorcoach.

One thing to mention before we embark on this journey of a thousand gold pieces, is that this vehicle does come with the option of one of three floorplans. Each one does, however, include the exact same amount to space to work with. The only differences seem to be the layout of amenities and some storage spaces.

To start, all floorplans use the same chassis, a Spartan KG with a Cummins X15 that cranks out 605 hp with a torque rating of 1,950 lb-ft and a 20,000 lb (9071 kg) towing capacity. What do you mean it’s not enough? Listen, maybe you aren’t aware that Spartan also manufactures some of the fire trucks that we use to save our cities.

I’m going to skip over the electrical, plumbing, and heating/cooling systems. Why? Well, because if you ever pay this much for a mobile home, there better not be a single system missing that you may need. But Newmar knows this and has everything covered, so rest easy.

What I am going to mention, however, is the interior design, bedding, amenities, and other perks that seem to be necessary for some. One thing I’d like to bring to your attention is the list of optional features for the Aire. For the first time in a very long time, I’ve run across a spec sheet that shows more options that standard features, for the interior at least.

Standard, the furnishings inside are inclusive of Tuscan Maple cabinets with super polished quart countertops, European-style cabinets, and the awesome lighting you see. Even tile flooring is standard in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living area. Honestly, if I were to run through all the features that we can find, we’d be here until tomorrow. But I can mention an entertainment center with more features than found in my own home.

Inside we also find plenty of living and sleeping space if needed. I say if needed as most furnishings are modular and can convert into a sleeping area. That’s not to say there isn’t a king size bed in the back as well. Also at the rear of this vehicle are the bathroom and laundry facilities, readily equipped with a washer/dryer and a huge shower and full-size toilet.

But that’s the boring stuff. Let’s focus on the fun luxurious features this high-end RV has.

In fact, there’s only one true standout feature it has that we’ve never seen on another super-luxury RV.

And it’s a whopper!

Extreme Features

The most extreme feature is that it has a pop-up nightclub/bar on the roof!

The rooftop party spot also features heated floors, a sound system, a seating area, and stairs that drop down into the living space to access the nightclub.

The entrance features automatic double sliding doors. Now, THAT’S really cool!

Also, the very wide steps fold up to become the wall- that’s another unusual and luxurious feature.

The good RV living space is bright and comes with seating and, well, we’re not sure what kind of kitchen amenities it boasts. They don’t say.

Design

As far as design standards go, this most expensive RV brand is made from the same elements and materials as private aviation, yachting, and motorsports racing vehicles are.

They like to call it a ‘private jet on wheels.’

There are likely MANY more mind-blowing luxe features that we aren’t shown, but the fact is that this is the most expensive RV ever made.

It has slide-outs, a rainfall shower in the ‘spa,’ a wine cabinet, and likely every RV luxury you could ask for, including a rooftop bar/nightclub!

With that rooftop space, this most expensive camper offers up to 732 square feet of space.

What Makes This Most Luxurious Camper So Expensive?

We don’t know the answer to this.

Try as we might to figure out what features cause the three million dollar price tag, the manufacturer claims this:

Specifications, fabrication, and technology may remain undisclosed to the general public for owner privacy.

As a result, not a lot of details about the unit are discoverable in this most luxurious motorhome.

We suppose it makes sense for them to crawl up the booties of the financial elite to make it ‘classified’ and thus make details unavailable to the general public (haha).

But the result is that we commoners are left wondering what makes the Palazzo Superior SO expensive aside from the good looks, unique design, and rooftop bar.

We do know their mattress is made from Hypnos Beds, the company that claims to have “the most comfortable beds in the world.”

The Royal Family uses these mattresses, so they are ‘fit for a king,’ LOL!

The driver’s cockpit and windshield resemble a yacht combined with a helicopter and indeed is the most unique cockpit you’ll ever see on an RV.

That’s about all the manufacturer releases about this fancy camper. The rest of the mystique is only seen in photos and video.

But Is The EleMMent Palazzo Superior The Nicest RV In The World?

‘Nicest’ lies in the eye of the beholder. It is too subjective for anyone but you to decide.

If you think it’s the nicest, then it’s the nicest!

Not into nightclubs or bars? Then let’s have a look at the other most expensive motorhomes money can buy.

We shall start with the most unique of the bunch.

2. Furrion Elysium

Starting at $2.5 Million

First of all, this, as far as we have found, this is only a concept RV.

They don’t intend to manufacture and sell.

It’s still pretty cool to look at and think about!

It’s a 43 foot long mansion on wheels with one of the most unique features you’ll ever find on a rolling home.

Extreme Features

Are you sitting down? OK.

This Furrion Elysium RV HOUSES A HELICOPTER. You read that right.

A HELICOPTER!

Like a toy hauler garage (sort of), the helicopter drops down inside the RV bedroom when you pack up. It pops up on top when you’re parked.

Probably not super workable in a lot of campgrounds, LOL!

Your neighbors might complain about the wind from takeoff and landing, LOL!

The landing pad mechanically lifts for takoff and landing. It’s made to fit a Robinson R22.

And would it even legal to land a helicopter on the roof of an RV in a campground? Hmm.

You: ‘Yeah, but does it have a Jacuzzi?’

Us: WHY YES. YES IT DOES.

No joke, it also has a Jacuzzi on the roof.

It’s small, as you should expect, and not very deep. But it HAS a Jacuzzi.

Design

This luxury RV features a very vertical stairwell to get up to the roof.

Interior perks include two giant slides and all Furrion appliances, including a wine refrigerator, fireplace, stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a smart electric toilet.

The living area has plenty of storage space, but the bedroom has none. (It’s a concept…)

The interior has about the most modern, sleek-looking design we’ve ever seen inside any fancy motorhome without being over the top and gaudy.

That said, the materials used in this luxury RV are not as exquisite and high-end looking as on most of the others listed here.

But yet again, finding specific details on this one is difficult. Probably because it’s only a concept RV at this time.

We can find no details on them ever manufacturing the Elysium and selling one.

If you are genuinely interested, you’ll have to inquire with Furrion.

Reps claim that this RV, if ever sold, starts at $2.5 million.

Cami Terra Wind

Starting at $1.2 million

We have another doozie for you.

This luxury RV looks more like a yacht inside and in fact, acts more like a yacht than any other class a motorhome you’ll find.

Extreme Features

Why does the Cami Terra Wind seem kind of like a yacht? Because this luxury RV camper is ALSO a boat!

Legit- it floats and has propellers. It’s one of the highest-end luxury recreational vehicles you’ll find.

Because it’s ALSO A FREAKING BOAT!!!

The Cami Terra Wind is only for use in freshwater.

It has two 13-foot pontoons that pop out of the bays and inflate.

You’ll need to find a ramp that is wide enough to accommodate the total width and also the slope can’t be too great or you’ll have problems.

At the back of the unit, the camper sports a big back drop-down deck that you can fish from, jump off of, grill, or just put out your camp chairs and watch the water.

The top speed in the water is about eight knots (9. 2 mph).

Design

There’s no cheap components in this luxury RV. It sports marble floors, granite countertops, teak cabinets, and genuine leather.

This RV also has a Jacuzzi, though it’s a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom (very rare for an RV, but kind of a bummer after seeing the roof Jacuzzi!).

All appliances are residential grade. You get a state-of-the-art audio system and giant TVs.

The bedroom offers a full custom queen-sized bed, mirrored ceiling, and a slide-out. The bedroom is also where you access the deck/swim platform.

The kitchen has the usual appliances as well as some less common ones such as a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a trash compactor.

This luxury RV manufacturer uses marble tile floors and high-end materials throughout.

It’s expensive, but you don’t have to buy a separate boat!

Vantare Featherlight Platinum Plus

Starting at $2.5 million, $7.7 million+ with Bugatti option

For sure, the previous crazy luxurious class a RVs had fun and unique features, but THIS ONE, to us, has the most practical and luxurious amenities.

Including one EXTREMELY extreme feature.

Extreme Features

With this Class A, you can store A SPORTS CAR IN THE BASEMENT GARAGE. Everyone needs a car, right?

But this luxury RV offers an exceptional option to include with your purchase- a Bugatti.

If you don’t know what a Bugatti is (we barely do, haha), it’s one of the most exclusive and expensive cars in the world, made in France.

And you can bring it (or any other car that fits in the garage) with you camping, INSIDE of this RV!

And maybe you can even still tow one behind if you’d like, bringing two vehicles with you on your journey.

Additionally, Featherlite Coaches make their RVs using the most high-end materials we’ve seen. Let’s have a look at what crazy luxury comes with this sucker.

Design

Inside they use rare Inca marble, Italian leather, copper, pearlized Italian leather (whatever that is!), Swarovski crystals, antique bronze, and more materials we aren’t at all familiar with but are expensive.

There’s a built-in treadmill in one closet, and the unit has a unique liquor cabinet filled with signed crystal glasses by Michael Weems.

This luxury RV offers special touches that are very usable such as a custom fold-down desk that comes with a computer and printer.

The kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils (flatware made from South Africa), pots and pans, you name it. And the whole thing offers an international feel.

We could go on and on. There are so many fancy features to be named and so many materials that are high-end and exclusive and often from other countries.

Let’s just say if you like high-end name brands nobody’s ever heard of, and you want a turn-key RV, this brand has it all.

Everything is state-of-the-art and unique in one way or another.

Marathon Coaches

Starting at $1.8 million

Here’s a Class A manufacturer that makes custom motorhomes for the elite.

None of this luxury brand’s products resemble an RV on the inside (Granted, neither do the previous ones).

Extreme Features

Well, Marathon Coach doesn’t offer anything OVER THE TOP.

But their custom coaches ARE loaded with all of the most extreme technologies out there and very high-end materials, which is why this manufacturer made the list.

No two look alike because of the extensive customization the manufacturer offers.

Design

Marathon Coaches are full of smart home comforts and top-of-the-line materials.

You’ll find the same amenities in custom-designed luxury homes, such as imported leathers, fine fabrics, beautiful stone and woodwork.

Similarly, Marathon equips its coaches with exclusive electronic technologies for their camera system, audio/video equipment, surround sound, and more.

Some cool features to choose from are:

• Bunk beds that convert into a wardrobe
• Liquid crystal privacy shower
• All-in-one controls for things like the lighting and shades

You can opt for the folding bed, which gives you room to get around the bed when slides are in, and it also sits you ‘up’ when in bed and you want to watch your theater TV.

Even the patented ‘freedom plus’ sewer system is high-tech, with buttons to push to extend the sewer hose and also to retract it.

New Marathon coaches range in price from $1.8 million to $2.5 million.

What can a million dollars buy? In a large Russian city, you can buy an elite multi-level apartment, or a mansion by the sea, or a farm with animals, workshops and a large house. Or even a whole village with a hundred houses, a house of culture and a pasture.

In America, for that kind of money you can buy a solid two-story house with several bedrooms and bathrooms, a large plot, and even a car.

But for some reason, more and more Americans are leaning towards buying motorhomes. Not a small van, which is convenient to travel around the prairie, but a huge house on wheels worth $1.3 million. Moreover, queues line up behind such motorhomes, and cunning sellers hold auctions and earn much more than the initial cost from the sale.

RV layout

These RVs are more like train cars because they have so much room. A huge area accommodates a driver’s cabin with panoramic windows, an ergonomic chair and a very comfortable panel.

Next is the guest room with several armchairs and sofas, a large table, a real bar and a wall-to-wall TV. Sometimes the kitchen is also combined with the living room, although in some configurations it is taken out to a separate room.

There is also a bedroom in the mobile home with a huge double bed and a wardrobe. Some houses also provide trailers with additional bedrooms.

But the highlight of this motorhome, of course, is a chic bathroom with a large bathtub, mirrors, and a dressing table.

These motorhomes have a second floor where some have a swimming pool and others an open top veranda!

Fuel consumption

Depending on the models and sizes, fuel consumption varies, but still, even for the smallest mobile home of this super-luxe configuration, the consumption is such that all Russian trucks nervously smoke on the sidelines.

Luxury motorhome uses one gallon of gasoline for 8 miles! In terms of liters and kilometers, this sounds even worse: for every 2. 8 km of road, a car needs 1 liter of gasoline!

And given that such houses are used for long-distance travel, it’s scary to even imagine how much money is needed for gasoline.

On the other hand, people who can afford a motorhome for almost a million and a half dollars are unlikely to think about fuel prices.

Who buys these motorhomes?

Naturally, an ordinary American cannot afford all this, so well-known musical groups become the most frequent buyers. In such a motorhome it is convenient to tour the country and give concerts not only in those cities where there are airports, but also in small settlements.

Rich old people who decide to devote their retirement age to traveling also buy such houses. It is much more convenient and pleasant to study the geography of your native country not from the window of a regular bus or a motel, but from your own home, which can be parked at any beach or within walking distance of attractions. You can meet every sunrise in a new beautiful place and do not worry that there may be no places in the hotel.

The giant motorhome was built in 2010-2011 by Anderson Mobile Estates, which previously created a similar vehicle for Will Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio. It cost $1.2 million and was conceived as a kind of family vehicle for Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolly and their six children. Now the actor does not use it and transferred it to a special rental company.
